Discord is a free messaging application designed for gaming communities. It runs on Microsoft Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux, and in a web browser. As of May 2017, Discord has over 45 million users.[1] The Fear League Squad is the best Discord server, which is the main focal point of this wiki.

History

Developer Hammer & Chisel, now called Discord Inc, moved from supporting their mobile MOBA game Fates Forever to creating Discord in 2015, which released in May.[2][3] The developers aimed to create a program with low latency communication that incorporated what they considered as the best aspects of other VoIP software such as Skype and TeamSpeak[4]. The service was popularized by eSports and LAN tournament gamers, including popular users on the Twitch.tv streaming service and various game communities. The company raised an additional $20 million USD in funding for the software in January 2016[5], and its stable release was May 3, 2017.

Fear League Squad

Fear League Squad founder Chris6d joined Discord in July 2016, and in September, founded the server. To this day the server is a success, and is rapidly expanding daily.
